Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you use slidey.dev or get in touch with us, why we process it, on what legal basis, and for how long.

The data controller is SLIDEY s. r. o., registered at Hlavná 32/A, 943 01 Štúrovo, Slovakia, company ID (IČO) 56 990 146. The company is entered in the Commercial Register of the Nitra District Court, section Sro, file no. 66263/N. You can reach us by email at hello@slidey.dev. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as our activities do not require one.

Contact form

The form asks for your name, email address and message. We only receive a budget if you choose one. We need these to reply to you and, if you ask for it, to send you a quote. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. If you are asking about something other than a project, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

When you submit the form, the server also saves your IP address and your browser's user agent. We use these to filter out automated spam, which is also a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f).

Messages are stored on our own server, and we get a notification about each one on Telegram. If an enquiry does not turn into a project, we delete it after 12 months. If we work together, we keep the correspondence for the length of the contract and afterwards for as long as our accounting and contractual obligations require.

Filling in the form is voluntary, but we can't reply without your name, email address and a message.

Server logs

For every request, the server logs the IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser's user agent. We need this to run the site and to spot errors and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). Logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics only loads if you allow it in the cookie bar. When it does, Google sees which pages you viewed and for how long, roughly which city you are in, and what device and browser you use. We look at this as aggregate statistics to see what people read on the site. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data is kept for 14 months.

Cookies

We don't set any cookies of our own. Whether you allowed analytics is remembered in your browser's local storage, so we don't ask again on every page. It stays there until you clear your browser data. Google Analytics only sets its cookies after you give consent. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the home page.

Who has access to the data

Our server is run by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The data sits in a data centre in Germany or Finland, and Hetzner may only process it on our behalf.

Google Analytics is run by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google also transfers part of the data to Google LLC in the United States, based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Our hello@slidey.dev mailbox is hosted by Namecheap, Inc., a US company based in Phoenix, Arizona. If you email us, your message is stored on their servers. The transfer to the United States is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are part of Namecheap's data processing agreement.

Form notifications reach us through Telegram, a service of Telegram Messenger Inc. Each notification contains your name, email address, budget and message. Telegram is based outside the EU, the European Commission has not found its level of data protection adequate, and we have no standard contractual clauses with it. If you would rather avoid this, email us directly instead of using the form.

Right to object

Spam filtering and server logs are based on our legitimate interest. You can object to them at any time by email, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing your data for these purposes, unless we have compelling grounds that override your interests, or we need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Your other rights

You can ask at any time what data we hold about you and request a copy. You can ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to hand it over in a machine-readable format if you want to take it elsewhere. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Write to hello@slidey.dev and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you think we have violated your rights, please write to us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Slovak data protection authority, Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.

You can also turn to the authority in the country where you live, or go to court.

Other

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. If we change how we handle data, we will update this page, and if we want to use data for a new purpose, we will tell you beforehand.
